New Referees

Welcome to Land Park Soccer Club Refereeing!

We provide a referee experience focused on development.  The club provides support for training, a mentorship program and opportunities to get started on the right foot: learn the game, work with other referees, learn good communication skills, earn money and build connections to the game and club.  Our goal is to transition youth referees to high level leagues (if desired), focus on interpersonal skill development as appropriate (first job for many), provide foundational instruction for safety and the enjoyment of Land Park Soccer.

Who can be a Referee?

Youth aged 12 can be referees in training! Please complete steps 3 and 4 below and contact our Head Referee, Rob Meyer, at [email protected] for more information.  Please identify your referee’s name and age.

We provide an introduction to soccer refereeing with training, paid games and the Under 8 level.  Games are paid $20, for each game.  Principle roles: are safety, time management, restarts and having fun.  There is a site monitor and Board Members present at the field.  Again the games are fun.  We will start the season 9/7/2024.

We will have a U8 field session for any referees interested in refereeing U8 games; the field session will be Thursday August 29, 2024 at 6pm at Land Park Main – between the golf course and fairytale town.  Should be no more than 45 minutes.

If you are 13 or older, to Become a Referee follow these steps:
